Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 1, 2026

Walnut Creek Catering Company (an asset of Fresh Pulp Holdings LLC, referred to below as "Walnut Creek Catering Company," "we," "our," or "us") treats your personal information the way we treat a client's event file: carefully, deliberately, and only for the purposes we told you about. This policy explains what we gather when you browse this site, ask for a Walnut Creek catering quote, place an order, sign in to the client portal, text or email our team, or work with us on an event anywhere in the Diablo Valley.

Using this site or sending us your information means you accept the practices below. If something here does not sit right with you, write to us before submitting an inquiry and we will tell you plainly what we can and cannot change.

1. What We Gather

Details you give us on purpose

Most of what we hold, you typed into a form or told a coordinator over the phone:

  • Your name and the name of the company, school, church, or nonprofit you represent
  • Email address, phone number, and preferred way to be reached
  • Event date, service window, guest count, and service style
  • Venue or delivery address in Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Orinda, Moraga, Danville, Alamo, San Ramon, Pleasant Hill, Concord, or elsewhere in Contra Costa County
  • Loading, parking, garage clearance, badge, elevator, and setup instructions for your building
  • The name and cell number of whoever is meeting our crew at the door
  • Menu selections, allergy notes, dietary restrictions, and special requests
  • Quote requests, revisions, order confirmations, and the messages you send us
  • Billing contacts, purchase order numbers, and tax exemption certificates
  • Payment details you submit through our processor
  • Reviews, survey answers, and post-event notes

Details collected as you browse

Like nearly every business website, ours logs technical information automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, how long you stayed, the ad or site that referred you, an approximate location, and data from cookies, pixels, and similar tags.

Payment details

Card and bank information is captured and processed by a third-party payment processor operating under its own security and privacy terms. We do not set out to keep full card numbers on our systems.

2. Why We Use It

We rely on your information to actually run your event and our business:

  • Answering inquiries and building quotes for Diablo Valley events
  • Revising, resending, and tracking quotes and order requests
  • Scheduling delivery, staffing, load-in, service, and breakdown
  • Producing your menu, including allergy and dietary accommodations
  • Coordinating rentals, florals, bar service, and outside partners
  • Reaching you about deadlines, missing details, and day-of changes
  • Invoicing, deposits, refunds, and account reconciliation
  • Sending confirmations, reminders, and post-event follow-ups
  • Improving our menus, pricing, website, and internal process
  • Sending occasional marketing where the law allows it
  • Preventing fraud, enforcing our terms, and protecting the company
  • Meeting tax, accounting, insurance, and other legal obligations

3. Who Sees It

We disclose personal information only where running the business requires it, including to:

  • Payment processors
  • Website hosting and software vendors
  • CRM, email, and text-messaging platforms
  • Delivery, staffing, rental, and floral partners assigned to your event
  • Advertising, analytics, and measurement providers
  • Accountants, attorneys, insurers, and other professional advisors
  • Government agencies, regulators, or law enforcement when the law requires it
  • A successor company in a merger, sale, financing, reorganization, or transfer of assets

We do not sell personal information in the everyday sense of the phrase. Certain privacy statutes define "sale" and "sharing" broadly enough to include some advertising cookies, pixels, and analytics tools; where that applies, you may opt out as described below.

4. Text Messages

If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about quotes, event logistics, delivery timing, and day-of coordination. Message and data rates may apply, frequency varies with your event, and you can stop the messages any time by replying STOP. Consent to texts is never a condition of buying catering.

5. Cookies and Tracking

Our site uses cookies and comparable technologies to keep the site working, remember preferences, measure traffic, and evaluate advertising. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies, though some parts of the site may behave oddly afterward. Where required, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals sent by your browser.

6. Retention

We keep event, quote, and financial records as long as we need them for service, accounting, tax, insurance, and legal purposes, then dispose of them under our normal retention practices. Marketing contact records are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No website, database, or transmission method is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security — only that we take it seriously and act quickly when something looks wrong.

8. Your California Rights

California residents may generally request to know what personal information we hold, ask for a copy, ask us to correct or delete it, and opt out of sale or sharing as those terms are defined by California law. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights. Send requests using the contact details below, and expect us to verify your identity before we act on them.

9. Children

Our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information to us, contact us and we will remove it.

10. Third-Party Links

Our pages sometimes link to venues, vendors, and other outside websites. Those sites operate under their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.

11. Updates to This Policy

We may revise this policy as our services, technology, or the law changes. The effective date at the top reflects the current version, and continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
